Solid Concepts Inc. (http://www.solidconcepts.com), a world leading rapid prototyping and manufacturing company, has just finalized the acquisition of Composite Tooling Technologies, Inc. (CTTI) in Troy, Michigan, to expand their existing CNC and Cast Urethane products while adding Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) expertise to their offerings.

A tale of serendipity and human ingenuity has emerged on two blogs being updated from the Pacific. The two-man crew of a raft made from plastic bottles and a British woman rowing solo across the Pacific have managed to meet mid-ocean for dinner and a vital sharing of water.

600-pound cop missing in action

STAMFORD - A bronze "copper" left his downtown beat over the weekend and never returned. Now there's an APB out for him. The 600-pound police officer has been at his post at Broad Street and Greyrock Place since June. He was known for being photogenic with pedestrians.
